Coursework Planning - Video Ideas
We had an idea that we could use quite a simple idea to create a vivd and lively video which would be constructed of two separate parts one of which would be the two band members performing their song against a plain background but then projecting images onto the wall and over them with a projector that can relate to the song or the band. This would work well with showing inter-textual references.

An interesting idea. Have you been inspired by any other videos that you could refer to?
ReplyDeleteWe found this video 'Human Again' by the Young Knives which contained a similar idea to it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhHDxYjMN4c&ob=av2e the video however we feel is more patchy such as instruments and faces being randomly projected over, whereas ours would have been more of a solid projection area using a wall as the main background. But now as we are much further on in our video we can see that it was a much more complicated route to take than necessary so we are replacing the actual video being projected with just laying two videos in Final Cut Express. If were to have taken inspiration from more videos since then it would have to be Foster the People - Pumped Up Kicks, the 'randomness' of the video which shows clips from every aspect of the band from travelling to and from gigs and the members just hanging out works as it still fits together with the beat of the sound and one thing we found was you could relate most of the videos to their songs as long as the beats matched.
